A quick and easy method to contact the relevant authority/department for issues across a range of council services in Thetford.
On Saturday 15th August Thetford held two events to mark the 70th anniversary of victory over Japan and the end of the Second World War.
Among those present at both events was Jimmy Hook a FEPOW veteran and relatives of FEPOW veterans, as well as The Mayor of Thetford Cllr Robert Kybird, members of the Royal British Legion (Thetford Branch), members of the Royal Air Forces Association and other Civic guests.
The first event was a Wreath Laying Service at the FEPOW Memorial Tree, Nuns Bridges. A parade of Standards marched to the Tree and Rev Julian Sanders gave a short Prayer/Address. Wreaths were laid by: The Mayor of Thetford, RAF Honington, Royal British Legion (Thetford Branch), Royal Air Forces Association, 1109 (Thetford) Squadron ATC and Jimmy Hook.
The second event was a Parade and Service at King’s House. The Service was led by Canon Bob Baker.
Thetford Town Councillors, the Chairman of Breckland Council Cllr Gordon Bambridge and representatives from RAF Honington, Lakenheath and Mildenhall attended the Parade and Service.
