The Thetford Youth Council launched their Toys and Treats appeal in early November and have been impressed with the generosity of the people of Thetford. The young people wrote to businesses and had a collection booth at the Thetford Winter Wonderland Event at the beginning of December. 

The young people decided to give the collected Toys and Treats to the Pine Close Community Centre for distribution as they are organising a special event on Christmas day.

Sharon Thompson from the community centre said ‘The Youth Council are amazing and their collection was a brilliant idea for helping families at Christmas. They are great role models for the Town and are a credit to Thetford.’

The Youth Council wanted to thank the following businesses for their generous donations towards the Town’s Winter wonderland event and Toys and Treats Appeal They were :- East County Classics, Hudson Property Services, Scotts Opticians, Simon Long Removals, and Specsavers.
