Thetford Town Council seeks a new;
Amenities Land and Property Officer
37 hours per week, £26,293 – £29,558 per annum (SCP 30 – 34)
Entitlement to join Local Government Pension scheme
Applications are invited for this exciting opportunity to join the Thetford Town Council team in a key role. As the Amenities, Land and Property Officer you will manage a diverse portfolio across the Council. You will also manage a team of Council Officers’ in their day-to-day duties. You will be required to facilitate evening meetings and weekend events where you will act as appointed officer. You will be based at the Town Council Offices in King Street.
While experience of working in local government or a similar environment would be highly desirable, this is not essential. Higher level office management experience is essential, demonstrating efficient delivery of service and support to the Council. It is expected that you will either hold the CiLCA qualification or would obtain it within 12 months of appointment.
Closing date for receipt of applications is: 5pm on 13th May 2016. Interviews will be held: 19 May 2016.
Potential exists for this person to become the Deputy Town Clerk subject to a separate subsequent internal selection process.
