Thetford Town Council is pleased to announce that its annual grant scheme is now open for applications! Each year the Town Council extends the opportunity to community groups and not for profit organisations to apply for a financial grant. The Council welcomes applications and expressions of interest from all parts of the Thetford Community.
In 2017 /18 the Town Council was delighted to be able to support local community groups with grants totalling £ 22,956. Last year the council gave 10 small grants of up to £300 and a further 10 medium sized grants of up to £2000, which went to organisations providing services to the people of Thetford. Some examples of the grants awarded last year include:-  A grant to Barnham Cross Action group for a new information board, a contribution towards a new sculpture trail planned by the Thetford Society, a grant to fund bowls equipment for a new short mat bowls club, support for a new befriending service for Thetford Dementia Support Group and support to the local CAB to recruit and train new advisers.
The town council are pleased to receive applications, as it is an opportunity for councillors to support new projects and activities.

The Town Council operates two grant schemes. These are the small grants scheme for grants up to £300, which can be applied for through the year (submission dates are on the application form). The medium grants scheme is for grants up to £2000 and applications for medium grants must be submitted to the Town Council before the 31st of August 2018.
