    Thetford Munzee Trail

Calling all treasure hunters… The Thetford Munzee Trail is now available to make the summer holidays even more interesting. This is a free, fun and exciting way to explore the heritage-rich town of Thetford, discovering places you may never have known existed on your doorstep.

Using a free app, players hunt and capture QR codes hidden throughout the town in true 21st century scavenger hunting style. Each capture will earn you points… but not before answering a pop-up quiz question about the site you find yourself at. Look around for inspiration to get the answer. The less guesses it takes to get it right, the more points you win. There are 12 Munzees to find in total and when you’ve finished you’ll see just how valuable Thetford is as the ancient capital of East Anglia.

You can find out more about Munzee at and more about the Thetford Munzee Trail at

You can download the free app and you will find it in your Google Play store, iPhone apps store or Windows apps store.

If you like geocaching, you’ll love Munzee as it is similar but with a twist. If you have never played, Munzee is a brilliant game for exploring and a great day out for the whole family. It might even give you a taste for geocaching in the future. Visit Norfolk Trails at to find out more about opportunities across the county.
