RHS in Bloom – Anglia in Bloom Judges visit Thetford

Thetford Town Council was delighted to receive a visit today from the Anglia in Bloom judges to review the town’s entry to the annual RHS In Bloom competition.

The judges had never been to Thetford before and were very impressed with what they saw. They reviewed the town centre floral displays including hanging baskets and tubs, Kings House gardens, Button Island, Thetford cemetery, Charles Burrell Centre, the new wildflower meadows, Nuns Bridges and the fish pass.

We await the results of the judging which will be announced later this year.

Councillor Terry Jermy, Chair of the Amenities Committee said; “Whilst there is much still that we would all like to see improved, it is important we take stock of what’s going well and what improvements we have been made over the last few years. It was great to show the judges around and to hear their feedback about our community”.
