The council are starting a program  concentrating on returning N plot in the London Road Cemetery to a lawn cemetery in order to aid maintenance. Each week a row will be inspected and any grave falling outside the rules will be noted and a letter will be sent to the deed holder asking them to clear the area in front of the gravestone. Earlier in the year this approach was adopted with R plot, in the newer part of the cemetery, and was very successful. This part of the program is expected to take 6 months and then the P plot program will start in April 2018.
