URGENT HEALTH AND SAFETY ISSUE 

Please download and read this notice from Suffolk Pest Control Company who has been employed by the Council to tackle the growing rat problem at Mundford Road allotments. The Council posted a notice in February 2018 asking allotment holders to help reduce the vermin problem, while the council acknowledge and appreciate the efforts allotment holders have made, after a professional assessment it has been decided urgent action is required. Please note that the pest controllers will be visiting a least once weekly from 18th June 2018 for approximately 2 months, they require full access to all plots so PLEASE REMOVE ALL LOCKS TO ALLOW ACCESS ONTO ALL ALLOTMENTS. This is a health and safety issue and therefore the council have a duty to ensure that it is dealt with appropriately which may require removal of locks from allotments not made accessible. The council will not be liable for replacement of locks removed for this purpose as due warning has been given.
