On Saturday the Mayor joined the Chairman of Norfolk County Council, Cllr Rex Parkinson-Hare, other civic leaders and ex Far East Prisoners of War at Norwich Castle Museum to mark the 70th anniversary of Victory over Japan and the end of the Second World War.

The Service of Remembrance was led by Canon William Sayer, former chaplain to the Royal Norfolk Regiment Association. Following the Service there was an opportunity to inspect some significant items from the Royal Norfolk Collection.
