    Highway Community Ranger Visit

    The Norfolk County Council Highway Community Ranger Gangs will be making a scheduled visit to Thetford during the week commencing 10th August 2015 to carry out work identified through inspections and reported.

    Should you be aware of appropriate work that can be considered as part of the visit (see typical items below), please email these to mail@thetfordtowncouncil including RANGER and PARISH in the subject title by 9th July 2015. Please provide as much information as possible including the exact location and specific concerns. Typical Ranger items of work are:

    • Side out a carriageway or footway
    • Clear mud and soil from the carriageway (non urgent)
    • Hand sweep carriageway or footway (the routine sweeping service will continue to be provided by the District Council)
    • Trim hedge to expose sign etc.
    • Soil and seed verge
    • Strim verge grass
    • Rod and flush drain
    • Clean out gully
    • Rod and flush kerb drainage offlet
    • Clear ditch
    • Clear grip
    • Wash sign, bollard or reflector post
    • Repair minor kerb defect
    • Repair minor footway surface defects

    Following the ranger visit Norfolk County Council will advise Thetford Town Council of the work undertaken from the list, and if it has not been possible to complete any items, an explanation will be provided regarding the further action they intend to take.
