Today Thetford Town Council is pleased to report that they have been successful in securing funding from the National Lottery Awards for all Scheme. This money will further expand regeneration projects on the market square, Guildhall building and marketing as well as supporting further events.

The Guildhall Tea Room will receive new furniture and displays including outdoor furniture, which will benefit the ever-growing clientele and a group of local crafters who will be able to display and sell their wares through the tearoom.

A physical link between the tearoom and the market will be achieved via outdoor table s and chairs along with live music and events to help create a vibrant ambiance.

We will encourage specialist markets, assisting new start-ups and supporting the dedicated current traders with more publicity and signage to the market encouraging a greater footfall for them.

A programme of craft and workshops will be open to all, further details to follow.
