The Town Council is launching a children’s Christmas drawing contest. There will be 3 prizes for each primary school in the Town. The categories will be primary classes 1&2, 3&4 and 5&6. The winning drawings will appear in an exhibition at the Carnegie Hall during the Xmas lights switch on.

Please submit an original, colour drawing that shows us what the 1^st Xmas would have looked like.

Some things you might want to have in your picture.

• Baby Jesus
• Mary and Joseph and their donkey
• The shepherds and there sheep
• The three wise men and their presents
• The stable

Rules

• The contest is open to children in Thetford from years 1-6 at primary school.
• One prize will be awarded to the top entry in each of these categories: Classes 1&2, 3&4 and 5&6.
• Entries must be original, in colour, drawn or painted on an 8.5” x 11” page, and illustrate some aspect of the birth of Jesus at the first Christmas in Bethlehem.
• Judges’ decisions are final and entries may be published in the local press and on the Town’s website.
• Submission deadline is noon Monday the 21^st of November.
