Businesses encouraged to break out the bunting for Tour of Britain

Businesses across Breckland are being encouraged to decorate their premises to celebrate the Tour of Britain’s return to Norfolk. As well as helping to get the district in the party mood, companies from Breckland which break out the bunting and balloons will be able to enter a special competition which could see them scoop big prizes.

The competition is being organised by Breckland Council, in partnership with Active Norfolk. The entry that is judged to be the best in Breckland will be awarded a £200 voucher which has been donated by Mr D’s, the American style diner on the A11 near Attleborough, so staff at the winning business can enjoy a celebratory night out.

The winning entry from Breckland will then go head-to-head with the winners from Norfolk’s other participating districts, with one company’s entry selected as the county’s overall best display. The winner will receive a £500 cash prize and will feature in the EDP newspaper.

To enter the competition, businesses need to decorate their premises or shop window in any way they see fit to support the Tour of Britain and submit a photo to info@activenorfolk.org before Friday, 11 September. Alternatively, businesses can enter via Twitter by tweeting their photo to @activenorfolk, using the hashtag #ToBNorfolk.

For more information or to request a starter pack of balloons, streamers and other materials, email info@activenorfolk.org or call 01603 732333.
