The Town Council has been making the town aware of improvements to Barnham Cross Common for the last seven years. Articles have been carried in the About Thetford (Sept 2008, Jan/Feb 2010, Aug 2015 and July 2016) and Thetford and Brandon Times, Bury Free Press since 2009 with the most recent articles in March 2016 Bury Free Press, July 2016 in Thetford and Brandon Times and numerous site notices since work began in 2009. There has also been public consultation for the Section 38 application in Jan 2016, Planning consent for the bund in March 2016 and for the Felling Licence in July 2016. Presentations have been made to the Council at which the public can attend in March 2015 and July 2016 along with at least two others since 2013.
