What a great weekend we’ve got coming up for our Assizes Heritage Weekend.

Come along on Saturday 17th June
Join us for a free Guildhall and Heritage tour at 11am.

Come and look around the Guildhall and the town and discover things you never knew! Walk around with a Costumed Guide and explore the history of Thetford! 

Then at 5pm come and join us on the marketplace for a free family show all about the Vikings – from BFER and Magic floor productions.

You can also come and explore our displays on the history of Thetford and the Brecks.
Why not visit our Viking History On Your Doorstep exhibition, take part in our trail and try your hand as Viking coin hoarders, and enjoy some simple paper crafts.

Don’t forget to pop into the Guildhall Tea Room and pick up a free admission voucher to the Ancient House Museum.
 
Then on Sunday 18th June
Grimes graves will be back on the Market Place with heritage skill activities and Crafts 10- 2pm.

There will be historic Music from the 2 crows from 11am.

From 12pm – Watch the Guildhall come alive with the assizes courts.
Meet Characters from Thetford’s dark past, join in trials , you could even be on trial yourself!
Who knows you may even end up In the stocks or gallows!
