The Mayor and Mayoress today supported the Thetford Foodbank Collection point at Tesco.

A host of volunteers were handing out leaflets highlighting the most needed items and a very supportive public donated a huge amount of food.

The food bank operates from The Charles Burrell Centre and upwards of 40 local organisations/support groups are able to issue vouchers.

There is a collection point as you exit the store. Tesco add 30% from their warehouse stocks to whatever is donated locally.
