Thetford’s Remembrance Sunday parade takes place on Sunday 10th November from 10.30 am on Thetford Market Place.
Timings are as follows:
10.32 am – The parade leaves Riverside Walk with the band leading the parade along King Street, around the roundabout and is due to arrive at the Market Place at 10.37 am.
10.40 am – Standards march on. Officers salute Standards.
10.45 am – Rev Peter Herbert leads the service.
11.00 am – Last Post/2-minute silence/Reveille/Exhortation read.
Wreaths are laid and Piper plays Lament.
Parade departs to the Saluting Dias which is positioned on King Street near St Cuthbert’s Church.
The Parade will march past King Street to Riverside Walk.
The ceremony will finish at approximately 11.50am
The Parade is organised by Thetford Town Council in partnership with The Royal British Legion.
The Poppy Appeal will prepare and distribute the programmes on the day.
