Thetford Christmas Lights Switch On

This year’s Thetford Christmas Lights Switch on takes place on Friday 29th November 2024, with events from 5pm-9pm in Thetford town centre.

Local school choirs will join us by the river, starting at 5pm to kick off the evening’s events. Then at 5.30pm Santa will be welcomed to Thetford, joining us at the riverside as he arrives on his river sleigh.

This year will bring a Narnia-themed trail across shops in the town centre for families to take part in as they head towards Thetford Market Place for the switch-on at 6.30pm. The Rapid Events Continental Market returns to the town, running along King Street throughout the day and into the evening with fairground rides on Thetford Market Place. The Continental Market will be running every day until 1st December from 10am-5pm (8.30pm on Switch On Night).
